Minulla on edelleen vuokravarasto Helsingissä ja osa tavaroista Seinäjoella. Tällä on puolensa: Tavallaan on yksinkertaista, kun valinnanvaraa kosmetiikassa, asusteissa ja vaatteissa on vähemmän. Mutta toisaalta olisi kiva saada koko omaisuus saman katon alle. Välillä joutuu ostamaan asioita, joita jo omistaa tai tyytyä olemaan ilman. Ja tuovathan ne omat tärkeät esineet ja muistot myös kodin tuntua.

Meillä kävi kuitenkin hyvä tuuri ja löysimme viihtyisän ja meille sopivan asunnon, vaikka valmiiksi kalustettuina vaihtoehtoja ei hirveästi ollut. Muutto voi tulla melkein koska vaan, joten mistään järjettömän pysyvästä ratkaisusta ei todennäköisesti ole kyse. Eri maiden välillä muuttaminen ei ole niin yksinkertaista (koska muuttaminen olisi), joten yritän muistaa, että varmasti monet ostetut asiat jää tänne. Samasta syystä olen hillinnyt kokonaan sisustushimoni ja tyytynyt tuomaan kodikkuutta leikkokukilla ja kynttilöillä. Tykkään laittaa leikkokukkia joka huoneeseen, jopa vessaan. Nämä kuvissa näkyvät neilikatkin ovat ihan muutaman euron markettikukkia, jotka leikkasin lyhyeksi ja laitoin matalaan maljakkoon, jotta kimpusta tulisi tuuheampi ja tyylikkäämpi.

Väliaikaisuudesta huolimatta tämä Englannin koti alkaa tuntua jo kodilta ja ajattelinkin, että voisin huomenna tehdä kuvapostauksen lähiympäristöstäni ja kertoa vähän paikasta jossa asumme! 🙂

//I am still renting a warehouse for my clothes and kitchen equipment etc. in Finland. This has its benefits: It is easier to choose because I have less cosmetics, accessories and clothing. On the other hand it would be nice to have all of my stuff under the same roof. Sometimes I have to buy things that I already own or settle to be without them. And of course my own important objects and memories  bring the feeling of home.

We did however find ourselves lucky and found a comfortable and suitable house even if there was not much of a choice in pre-furnitured houses. Changeing between different countries is not so simple and this is not a permanent home. I try to remember that for sure many of the things that I buy will be left here. For the same reason I try to make the house cozy with cut flowers and candles. I like to put cut flowers in every room even the bathroom. These photos show the carnation and are just a few euros from supermarket. Cutting them short, and putting in a low vase makes the bunch look more stylish.

Our England home is starting to feel like home despite of being temporary. I thought that I could do tomorrow a post about my town and tell a bit about where we live! 🙂
